Simultaneous Attacks Target US Bases in Syria
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Simultaneous attacks struck three military bases housing US occupation forces in Syria.
According to sources, the US base in the al-Omar oil field, east of Syria's Deir ez-Zur Province, was shelled on Saturday night.
The attack, involving ground-to-ground weapons, triggered explosions within the facility, with the blasts audible in the surrounding areas.
In a similar assault, the Harab Cir bases in Syria's al-Hasakah Province were targeted. Additionally, drones of unknown origin struck the al-Tanf base in Syria's Homs Province, near the Jordanian border. As of now, no casualties or damage have been reported.
Previously, on Friday, an explosion was heard at the base housing US troops in the Conoco gas field in Deir ez-Zur.
In recent weeks, US bases in the region have faced multiple rocket or drone attacks, reflecting growing anti-American sentiment due to Washington's strong support for the Israeli regime's military campaign in Gaza.
Meanwhile, Israel conducted an artillery attack on the outskirts of Syria's southern Quneitra Province on Sunday. Anti-Damascus militants reported that the Israeli artillery fire targeted positions held by the Syrian Army and its allies.
