SCO, BRICS Open Up New Vistas for Iran-China Ties: Raisi

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian president expressed delight at the progress in cooperation with China under a 25-year comprehensive plan, saying their interaction has received a boost since Iran has joined the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and BRICS.

In a message on Sunday, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi congratulated his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on the National Day of the People's Republic of China.

He expressed satisfaction with the progress in the implementation of a 25-year comprehensive cooperation agreement between Iran and China, describing it as a beacon of future interaction.

Raisi noted that regional and international coordination between Tehran and Beijing, particularly after Iran’s accession to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and BRICS, has offered a new prospect for mutual cooperation and advancements in multilateralism.

The Iranian president also hoped that the bilateral, regional and international cooperation between the two nations would grow in all fields with closer collaboration.
