Iran, Uzbekistan Ink MoU to Strengthen Ties in Petrochemical Sector

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s National Petrochemical Company (NPC) and Uzbekistan’s Uzkimyosanoat signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at expanding bilateral relations in the petrochemical field.

Iran’s Deputy Oil Minister and CEO of the NPC Morteza Shahmirzaei and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC “Uzkimyosanoat” Korjikov Evgeniy Aleksandrovich signed the MoU on the sidelines of the 17th International IRAN PLAST Exhibition in Tehran on Wednesday.

The MoU was inked following the agreement reached previously between the presidents of the two countries.

Finalizing the fields of joint cooperation and reviewing the way for cooperation are among the provisions stipulated in the MoU.

The 17th International Trade Fair Plastic, Rubber Equipment & Machinery entitled “IRAN PLAST 2023” was inaugurated at Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds on Sunday and concluded on Wednesday, September 20.
