"The sides discussed in detail the current situation in Ukraine, noting the futility of attempts to settle the crisis without taking into account Russia’s interests, the more so, without its participation," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement following their talks, TASS reported.
"Sergey Lavrov talked about major results of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s official visit to Russia," the Russian Foreign Ministry added.
In turn, Wang Yi has told Lavrov about his recent talks with US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, the statement said.
