Iran Exported about $16 Billion Non-Oil Products in 4 Months, IRICA Says

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The value of Iran’s export of non-oil goods, with crude oil, kerosene, fuel oil and luggage trade excluded, in the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year reached $15.906 billion, showing a 7.79 percent decline compared to the same period last year.

According to the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), over 11 million tons of non-oil goods, valued at more than $19 billion, were imported into the country in the four months (from March 21 to July 22), registering a 6.18 and 10.82 percent hike in weight and value respectively compared to last year’s corresponding period.

In this period, Iran’s trade exchanges hit $35.445 billion, the report added.

More than $1.633 billion worth of liquefied natural gas (LPG), $1.140 billion worth of liquefied propane, $823 million worth of liquefied butane, $689 million worth of oil bitumen and $665 million worth of methanol were exported from the country in the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 to July 22), IRICA maintained.

China, Iraq, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and India were Iran’s first to five major export target markets which accounted for 75 and 76 percent share of Iran’s total exports in value and weight respectively.

According to the statistics, Iran exported $4.644 billion worth of products to China from March 21 to July 22.

In this period, 4,783,000 tons of goods have been transited from Iran, showing a 1.74 percent decline compared to the same period last year, IRICA concluded.
