Iran, Qatar Agree on Dispatching Workforce, Cooperation in Transportation Sector
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Officials from Iran and Qatar agreed on the dispatch of expert manpower and also strengthening cooperation in the field of transportation.
Iranian Minister of Labor, Cooperatives and Social Welfare Seyed Sowlat Mortazavi held talks with Qatari Minister of Labor Ali bin Samikh Al Marri at the venue of the ministry in Tehran on Monday.
The two sides agreed on dispatching skilled and competent manpower.
Also, the Iranian and Qatari labor ministers emphasized cooperating in the fields of air, land and sea transportation and taking advantage of Iran’s high capacities for connecting neighboring Qatar to the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC).
Mortazavi pointed to the four rounds of talks held between the two countries recently and added that implementation of the previous memoranda of understanding and agreements is an important issue that should be taken into consideration.
In this regard, a joint statement has been prepared which will be signed between the labor ministers of the two countries, he stated.
The Qatari minister of labor, for his part, pointed out that 150 employment centers have been set up in Qatar which are tasked with organizing foreign workforce.
“We are very interested in sharing experiences and transferring skilled manpower between the two countries,” Al Marri added.
