Iran’s Annual Non-Oil Exports Surpass $53.166 Billion: Spokesman

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The spokesperson of the trade promotion commission of Iran’s House of Industry, Mine and Trade put the country’s non-oil exports in the year 1401 (March 21, 2022 to March 20, 2023) at over $53.166 billion, showing a 10 percent growth as compared to a year earlier.

Seyed Rouhollah Latifi said that Iran’s non-oil exports it a new record in the history of the country.

He went on to say that the non-oil trade of the country in this period hit 159,236,000 tons in weight and $112.821 billion in value, registering an 11.2 percent hike as compared to a year before. 

Iran’s non-oil trade has increased by $11.380 billion as compared to the previous year, hitting a record in the history of the country, the spokesman stated.

He pointed out that the country’s trade value hit $113 billion from March 21, 2022 to March 20, 2023.

In 1401, Iran exported 122,056,000 tons of non-oil products, valued at $53.166 billion, recording a 10 percent growth as compared to the previous year, Latifi reiterated.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the spokesman pointed to Iran’s export destinations and said that China, Iraq, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and India were Iran’s top export markets respectively.

Turning to the import of products into the country, Latifi noted that more than 37,180,000 tons of non-oil goods, valued at 59.655 billion, were imported into the country, showing a 10 percent decline in weight and 13 percent growth in value.

He referred to the transit of goods and said that transit of goods registered a 2.2 percent growth as compared to the previous year.
