Iran Calls for Expansion of Relations with Oman
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The foreign minister of Iran stressed the need to enhance Tehran’s relations with the Sultanate of Oman in various fields.
Hossein Amirabdollahian met with Omani Sultan Haitham bin Tarik in Muscat on Wednesday to submit a written message from Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.
After a review of the results of the Iranian president’s visit to Oman in May, Amirabdollahian emphasized the need to fully implement the agreements reached during the presidential visit.
He also called for the expansion of relations and closer cooperation between Tehran and Muscat in diverse fields, including trade, economic, energy, tourism and transportation activities.
For his part, Sultan Haitham bin Tarik expressed hope that he would pay a visit to Iran in the near future and that the interaction between the two states would grow.
