Iran Develops Road Map to Closer Ties with Tanzania: FM
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran has formulated a road map to cooperation with Tanzania in all fields, Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said.
In a meeting with the Iranian nationals residing in Tanzania, held in Dar es Salaam on Thursday, Foreign Minister Amirabdollahian highlighted the significance of the Islamic Republic’s relations with the African nations.
He also noted that a road map has been developed to the expansion of ties with Tanzania in all fields and efforts have been made to remove the obstacles to economic interaction with the African country.
In the meeting, the Iranian expatriates and representatives of the Iranian institutions in Tanzania called for the Foreign Ministry’s cooperation in resolving the consular and trade problems.
Heading a high-ranking economic delegation comprised of representatives from the private and state-run sectors of Iran, Amirabdollahian is taking a tour of Africa that took him earlier to Mali.
The top Iranian diplomat is currently visiting Zanzibar.
