Iran Earns Second Win at Youth Beach Handball World Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran beat Qatar 2-0 (15-14, 15-14) in the 2022 IHF Youth Beach Handball World Championship on Tuesday.
The Iranian team had started the campaign with a 2-0 (31-10, 20-8) win over the US in its opening match.
Iran is pitted in Group A along with Sweden, Qatar and the US.
The 2022 IHF Youth Beach Handball World Championship is the 2nd edition of the championship being held from June 14 to 19 in Heraklion, Greece under the aegis of the International Handball Federation (IHF).
The 2022 IHF Men’s Youth (U-18) Beach Handball World Championship groups are:
Group A: Sweden, Iran, Qatar, United States of America
Group B: Brazil, Croatia, Togo, France
Group C: Spain, Greece, Jordan, Czech Republic
Group D: Ukraine, Argentina, Germany, Uruguay
