Iran, Russia Sign Business Deal
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iran Chamber of Cooperatives and Russia’s Fund RC-Investments -the investment platform of the Roscongress Foundation- signed a trade cooperation agreement in Moscow.
The agreement was signed by President of Iran Chamber of Cooperatives Bahman Abdollahi and Director of Fund RC-Investments Alexander Shatirov.
It is aimed at intensifying collaboration and economic cooperation between representatives of the business communities of Iran and Russia, the website of Roscongress reported.
“The active participation of the Iranian business community both in international events and in joint Russian-Iranian projects indicates the interest in the development of practical bilateral cooperation. We should improve the mechanisms of economic interaction between our countries and strengthen business ties,” Shatirov said after signing the deal.
Iran’s ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali, who was also attending the event, said, “We want the relations between our countries to be stable and comprehensive in the areas of economy, trade, politics, culture, and others.
“We want to strengthen the bilateral ties in all areas that are beneficial for our two countries and our two peoples. I am confident that the SPIEF 2022 will help maintain and improve the positive development dynamics between our countries,” the Iranian ambassador added, referring to the 25th edition of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), due to be held on June 15-18.
The Iranian and Russian officials also exchanged views on the current state of trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries and discussed ways to expand interaction.
The Roscongress Foundation is a socially oriented non-financial development institution and an organizer of nationwide and international conventions, exhibitions, and business events. It was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential and promoting its national interests, according to its website.
