New figures released by the Health Ministry indicate that more than 90.06 million doses of coronavirus vaccine have been administered in the country as of Wednesday, with over 53.31 million people having received the first dose of the vaccine.
While more than 35.83 million coronavirus diagnostic tests have been carried out in Iran so far, the total number of people tested positive has exceeded 5,954,900 following the detection of 10,363 new cases since Tuesday.
Of the new cases detected in the past 24 hours, 1,353 patients have been admitted to the hospital.
At least 5,547,300 patients have recovered from the coronavirus infection so far or have been discharged from hospitals across Iran.
The ministry also put the death toll from COVID-19 in Iran at 126,763, saying the disease has taken the lives of 147 patients over the past 24 hours.
Among those undergoing treatment in medical centers at present, 3,789 coronavirus patients are in the intensive care units.
The number of people infected with COVID-19 across the world has surpassed 248 million and the death toll has exceeded 5.03 million.
