Parliament Speaker Lauds Iranians’ Fortitude in Coronavirus Fight
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Ali Larijani praised the people of the country for their cooperation, rapport and determination in coping with the novel coronavirus outbreak.
In a post on his Instagram page, Larijani applauded the Iranian people’s hope and endeavors to deal with the coronavirus epidemic, particularly the residents of Tehran, Qom and Gilan, the most affected provinces in the country.
Wishing a speedy recovery for the patients, the parliament speaker expressed hope that the unwavering efforts made by officials, the preventive plans devised by the Coronavirus Management National Headquarters, and the cooperation and rapport from the people would help remove the specter of the disease in Iran soon.
Larijani, himself a representative of Qom, also said that he shares the grief of the people of Qom in such difficult days.
Iran’s Health Ministry announced on Friday that the number of people who have died from the coronavirus in the country has risen to 124 and the total number of confirmed cases to 4,747.
At least 913 people have recovered from the disease in the country so far.
