Supporters of Any Aggression on Iran Not to Go Unpunished, General Warns
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A ranking Iranian military official cautioned advocates of military attack on Iran that they would have to pay a price and receive a “devastating response” for aiding and abetting any act of aggression against the Islamic Republic.
In an interview with Tasnim, Deputy Commander of Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters Brigadier General Ali Shadmani said if the enemy made the stupid mistake of attacking Iran, it would receive devastating blows in the very first hours of invasion.
The countries that may foolishly encourage the enemies of Iran to launch a war, support the aggressors, or allow the invaders to use their soil for military action against Tehran would be deemed to be accomplices and get a harsh response, he warned.
The general also pointed to the “ridiculous” reports that certain Arab governments have asked the US to attack Iran, saying they are well aware that if a war broke out in the region, they would vanish.
Shadmani added, “Some believe that a certain country with a number of jets has power; they (the warplanes) will be detonated on the runway before take-off (in case of a war on Iran).”
The general further advised the southern neighbors of Iran not to encourage the enemies of Muslims to enter a war with the Islamic Republic.
Not only would Iran emerge victorious in a possible war, but the countries supporting the enemies of Iran would definitely receive devastating blows, which would be within the Iranian nation’s rights, he added.
“We keep a close watch on the enemy’s bases in the region, and we are able to target any point from which we may be attacked. We have made it clear to the neighboring countries that we will hit any spot from which the enemy attacks us,” he added.
Iranian military and political officials have repeatedly warned the enemies against the dire consequences of a military action against the Islamic Republic.
In comments in April 2018, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said the US is aware of the crushing response it will have to face in case of taking military action against Iran.
The era of hit and run is now over, and the US knows that if it gets entangled in military action against Iran, it will receive much harsher blows, Ayatollah Khamenei underlined.
The US is seeking a way to evade the costs of standing against Iran and place them on regional countries, the Leader said, reminding certain regional countries that if they confront Iran, “they will definitely suffer blows and defeat”.
