TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Over 30 civilians, among them women and children, were killed in horrific Saudi raids on residential areas in Yemen’s northwestern province of Hajjahm, a report said.
Yemeni Al Masirah TV reported that civilians in the Al-Zaleel, Al-Ahdab and Al-Hadi neighborhoods were targeted by Saudi-led coalition’s warplanes before Sunday midnight, adding that at least 5 houses were completely destroyed in the raids on Talan neighborhood in the center of Kushar district.
The report also indicated that at least one ambulance was targeted by the coalition warplanes in Talan area of Kushar district, while it was carrying wounded civilians to hospital.
One of the victims was 14-year-old Noura Khaled al-Zulil who died shortly before she arrived at the hospital because of her critical condition. Yemen’s Minister of Health stated that the US-Saudi aggression committed a new massacre targeting 3 families in Kushar district in Hajja.
Yemeni political parties condemned the horrific massacre and called on international organizations to shoulder their responsibilities to support civilians in Yemen.
The Ministry of Human Rights said that "the crime is an expression of defeat by the forces of aggression and its tools."
Further reports suggested that dozens of victims are still trapped under the rubble and locals are unable to recover the victims due to the continuous bombing of the area by Saudi warplanes.
