Yemen Missile Power beyond Expectations: Ansarullah
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yemen’s ballistic missiles have improved so much that the targets they can hit would surprise the enemies, spokesman for the Houthi Ansarullah movement said.
In comments on Monday, Mohammad Abdulsalam said Yemen’s ballistic missiles can reach targets that the enemy would not expect.
The more the hostile aggression against Yemen drags on, the more Yemen’s ballistic missile capabilities will grow, he added.
Highlighting the national consensus about the need for development of Yemen’s missile power, Abdulsalam said even Yemeni people residing in Saudi Arabia’s capital of Riyadh are proud of their country’s missiles.
While fighting between the Yemeni defending forces and the Saudi-led mercenaries attacking the port city of Hudaydah has flared up in recent days, Saudi Arabia claimed on Sunday it had intercepted two missiles launched by Yemen’s Houthi forces over Riyadh.
Reuters reported that at least six loud blasts were heard and bright flashes were seen in the sky over Riyadh.
Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.
Over 14,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
