Iran, Azerbaijan Ink 8 MoUs to Boost Cooperation in Various Fields
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – High-ranking officials from Iran and Azerbaijan signed eight memorandums of understating (MoUs) to boost cooperation in different fields, including economy and culture.
The documents were inked during a ceremony held in the Azeri capital of Baku on Wednesday with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and his Azeri counterpart, Ilham Aliyev, in attendance.
The MoUs cover numerous topics, including women and families, sports and the youth, cultural exchange programs between Azerbaijan and Iran, health and medicine, oil exploration blocks in the Caspian Sea, industrial cooperation, and joint investment projects.
The agreements were signed after a short meeting between the two countries’ presidents.
Heading a high-ranking delegation, Rouhani arrived in Baku on Wednesday at the official invitation of his Azeri counterpart.
