Terrorists Continue to Hit Syria’s Foua, Kefraya with Mortar Shells

DAMASCUS (Tasnim) – Foreign-backed Takfiri terrorists continued to shell two Shiite-populated towns in the northwestern province of Idlib, killing and injuring several civilians.

According to Tasnim dispatches, militants from the Jabhat Fateh al-Sham terrorist group, formerly known as al-Nusra Front, targeted the besieged towns of Foua and Kefraya with mortar rounds and claimed the lives dozens of Syrian people.

The attacks also left large groups of the Shiite people wounded.

Foua and Kefraya are the only government-held enclave in Idlib's militant-held area. The towns of some 20,000 people have been under siege since 2013.

The humanitarian situation remains dire, with a lack of food and basic necessities in the two towns amid the deafening silence of the international community.
