Gathering Held in Washington to Discuss Trump’s Anti-Muslim Policies (+Photos)
WASHINGTON, D.C. (Tasnim) – Hundreds of civil and political activists gathered in the US capital of Washington to exchange views on ways to counter President-elect Donald Trump’s policies against Muslims living in the country.
According to Tasnim dispatches, the gathering was held on Saturday evening at the invitation of the Washington Peace Center with more than 300 citizens, including peace activists, in attendance.
The participants voiced their protest against the continued violations of Muslims’ rights in the US and the anti-Islam remarks made by Trump and his cabinet members.
Anti-Trump protests have spread across the US in recent months because of his controversial comments that critics view as racist, xenophobic and sexist.
