No Military Solution for Yemen’s Crisis: Official

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The president of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee of Yemen condemned continued massacre of civilians by a Saudi-led coalition that has been bombing Yemen for months, saying that the ongoing crisis in the Arabian Peninsula country has no military solution.

The Yemeni crisis has no military solution and defeat awaits the aggressors and occupiers, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi was quoted by Yemen’s Saba News Agency (SABA) as saying.

He further praised the resistance of the Yemeni army and popular forces against the acts of aggression by the US and its regional allies, like Saudi Arabia.

The Yemeni official also highlighted the role of media in uncovering the truth and disclosing the crimes of the Saudi-led coalition against the Yemeni nation.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition led by Riyadh for nearly a year but the Saudi regime has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been launching deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to the fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

More than 8000 Yemenis, including many women and children, have died in the Saudi-led aggression so far.
