President Hopes for New Trend in Iran’s Development after Nuclear Conclusion

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani expressed the hope that conclusion of negotiations with world powers over Tehran’s nuclear energy program would usher in a new path to the country’s development.

In a Tuesday meeting between Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and members of the cabinet, President Rouhani hoped that conclusion of the nuclear talks would prepare the ground for an end to the “pressures and false allegations” the enemies make against Iran.

He also expressed gratitude to Imam Khamenei for his supports and guidance during the marathon nuclear talks with the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany).

The meeting came after Iran and the Group 5+1 (also known as the P5+1 or E3+3) concluded more than two weeks of intensive talks over Tehran's nuclear program in Vienna.

The negotiating parties reached a conclusion over the text of a comprehensive 159-page deal on the nuclear issue after 22 months of talks.

Elsewhere in the meeting, President Rouhani pointed to the administration’s foreign policy achievements over the past two years, saying, “In the situation that the region is entangled with chaos and terrorism, the Islamic Republic of Iran has supported the regional countries that are plagued with terrorism, and will follow this path.”

He also noted that the country needs “capital and technology” to overcome problems in the way of employment and economic progress.

Experts believe that Iran’s economic growth would rise remarkably after a final nuclear deal takes effect.

The comprehensive nuclear deal and subsequent termination of anti-Iran sanctions would also result in a hike in Iran's trade with the world and increase foreign investment in the country.
