Security and hospital officials say 30 people died when a suicide bomber set off his explosives in central Sanaa on Thursday morning at a gathering of supporters of the Houthi Movement who recently overran the city.
The second bombing took place at the outskirts of the southern city of Mukalla, where a suicide car bomber rammed his car against a security outpost, killing at least 20 soldiers, AP reported.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for either attack, which bore the hallmarks of al-Qaida. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media.
