Iran Condemns Israeli Air Strikes on Gaza Strip

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham, in a statement issued on Tuesday, strongly condemned the latest Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip.

The brave people of Palestine and the Islamic groups in the region will not give in to the pressure and the current difficult conditions, Afkham said in the statement.

The Palestinian nation’s unity and will to adhere to the spirit of resistance and counter the Zionist regime’s plots have been promoted, she added.

Afkham also slammed Israel’s plan to build new settler units in the West Bank and east al-Quds (Jerusalem), and called on the United Nations and other international organizations to take action against “the illegal and expansionist” measures of the Israeli regime.

The Israeli Air Force bombed dozens of sites in the Gaza Strip hours after a search for three missing young Israelis led to discovery of their dead bodies.

The airstrikes on 34 targets were conducted on Tuesday morning. The tension has been reaching the boiling point amid two weeks of door-to-door searches and arrests in the Palestinian territories by the Israeli forces.
