Iranian Prodigy Wins Bronze in Table Tennis Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian teen Benyamin Faraji claimed a bronze medal at the ITTF (International Table Tennis Federation) World Youth Championships 2024 on Friday.
This is the first medal in history of Iran in the youth level.
Faraji lost to Chinese player Li Hechen 4-2 in semifinals.
Faraji had defeated Adam Wallin from Sweden, Shunto Iwaida of Japan and Lin Chin-Ting from Chinese Taipei in his previous matches.
The competition was held in Helsingborg, Sweden, from November 22 to 29.
